Magic in the Moonlight

A Multicultural Musical for Community and Inclusion

Magic in the Moonlight is a heart‑warming multicultural musical that celebrates belonging, friendship, and the power of community. We are deeply grateful to the Dandenong Council for its generous grant, which has enabled us to bring this story to life.

This musical play is inspired by the classic Cinderella story and reimagined for a modern, multicultural society. Created by Elena from We Are One Club, the production has been developed in collaboration with Theatre Director Mr Michael Nikoloudis and Stage Director Mr Chris Konstantinides.

The musical reaches its peak in a breathtaking, inclusive dance that weaves together wheelchair artistry, moonlit magic, and vibrant multicultural choreography. This powerful moment flows into the uplifting finale song, Magic in the Moonlight. The story closes with a resonant message: true magic emerges when every culture, every ability, and every voice shines together as one.

Inspired by the historic Festival of All Nations of the 1970s, the Festival of All Cultures revives its legacy of unity while celebrating the modern diversity of our city. It is a space where cultures shine, friendships form, and the community comes together as one.

We Are One Club (WAOC) is excited to announce our upcoming Magic in the Moonlight: A Cinderella Story. We are looking for passionate individuals of all abilities to join us as volunteer performers. This unique project aims to showcase the incredible talents of people with disabilities; no prior experience is required to participate.
