Commemorating 80 Years of Peace

On 25 August 2025, we gathered as one community to mark the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II—a moment of reflection, remembrance, and unity.
Through music, stories, and shared memories, we paid tribute to the resilience of those who served, the families who endured, and the generations who rebuilt with hope. The event was not only a commemoration of history but a celebration of peace, multicultural friendship, and the enduring spirit of comradeship.
We thank all who joined us—veterans, families, performers, and volunteers—for making this day so meaningful. Your presence reminded us that peace is not just a legacy, but a responsibility we carry forward together.
Let us continue to honour the past by building a future rooted in respect, inclusion, and harmony.
Lest we forget.

The Fate of April
Set against the backdrop of 1920s–30s China, the series explores Xu Zhimo’s romantic entanglements with three remarkable women:
Zhang Youyi — his arranged wife
Lin Huiyin — the intellectual muse who inspired his poetry
Lu Xiaoman — his final companion, whose love story with him was both passionate and tragic.
The drama beautifully captures the emotional turbulence of these relationships, while also reflecting the shifting cultural tides of the Republican era.
Our deepest thanks to Monash Council, our passionate cast and crew, and the Chinese Drama Group for helping transform this piece of living history into an unforgettable celebration of art and heritage.

Thank you to the Navyana Buddhist Charitable Organisation for hosting such a wonderful event and spreading joy and happiness. Your efforts truly make a positive difference in the community!
